Fibre & Field is an independent directory, not a shop. We don't hold stock and we don't take payment from brands to be listed. Where we can, links through to the brands featured here are affiliate links — if you buy something after clicking through, we may earn a small commission from the retailer, at no extra cost to you.
What that does and doesn't change
It pays for the time that goes into researching brands, certifications and the farming behind them. It doesn't change what gets listed or how it's described — a brand isn't included because it pays better commission, and nothing here is written to talk you into buying more than you need. If a brand doesn't have an affiliate programme, it's listed anyway when it deserves to be.
On synthetic fabric and fast fashion
Most of us didn't choose polyester and acrylic out of ignorance — they were cheaper, more available, and easier to care for, and that's still true today. This site isn't here to make anyone feel bad about a wardrobe or a bed that's mostly synthetic; it's here for when you're ready to swap one thing at a time, starting wherever makes sense for your budget. The health and environmental information here is written to be accurate and specific, not alarming — you can make up your own mind once you know what's actually established.
Getting in touch
If you think a brand shouldn't be here, or know one that should be, this list is maintained by hand and genuinely open to correction.
